Wanted: One roommate to share a 3-bedroom house, split the rent, and ideally not be the guy I can’t stop thinking about.
I’m a man with too many secrets, so the last thing I need is a new roommate with a sexy smile and blue eyes that see right through me. Eight years ago, Roderick left town after high school. We’re not friends. I owe him nothing. But back then, I let one of my secrets slip, and he’s the only one who noticed.
Part of me knows I should run far, far away. But the other part wants him to come upstairs and spend the night. But if I let him in, I could lose everything.
Seeking: A room to rent in town. I’m tidy, have no pets, and I will feed you homemade bread.
I should probably add: Gay AF, and has no filter. It’s no wonder my new landlord is so wary of me.
A smarter man would ignore those hot glances from Kieran Shipley. The broody lumberjack wants more from me than another homemade pretzel, but if I push my luck, I’ll end up back on the street.
Too bad I’ve never been smart with my heart ...

A new m/m romance by Sarina Bowen set in the world of True North. Kieran, the nephew of Griff, May and the rest. Well, I know I can’t wait.
God… Kieran is such a guy where I fall head over heels for. He’s broody, silent and oozes sex appeal. In my opinion anyway. Roderick wasn’t my type, but hey… not every guy is my type. What he was, was funny and sweet. I did love his character in the book, but I fell in love with Kieran.
And the entire time I was freaking hungry. Thank you, Sarina. Make Roderick a baker and insert sexy cooking lessons. The result is a hungry Mariëlle during the entire book. But I loved those scenes. They were the cutest.
I loved everything about the story. It got me sucked back into the world of True North, which I love, love, love. Insert broody guy is always a go to, to get Mariel going. Insert fun stuff and a little emotional stuff as well and it’s perfect, really.
Roderick was up front gay and I liked that about him. He wasn’t ashamed of who he was, even though his parents were. At the same time I really liked that Kieran wasn’t sure yet. And not in a OMG I can’t be gay way, but in a I really don’t know type a thing. I loved that he wanted to explore it without any shame.
The most beautiful part about the story I found was Kieran’s bond with his family. There was a twist in there I really loved. It brought on a lot of emotional stuff and I’m all about emotional stuff. After he had this beautiful conversation with his dad and it made me cry. Well… 1 tear and a lot of watery eyes. So Sarina did it again.
Conclusion to Roommate
Roommate is a book worthy of the True North world which I intensely love. If you love sassy, sexy bakers and moody Shipley’s I’m asking you: why aren’t you reading the book yet?0
